Police: Two women beaten, robbed of cellphones and cash

Wichita police are looking for three suspects who beat two 24-year-old women early Sunday morning, taking their cellphones and cash.

The incident happened at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of North Green.

The first woman was hit several times by the suspects. She lost her cellphone and $500 in cash, according to Sgt. Ed Brower, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The second tried to intervene but was also hit and kicked several times. She lost $50 in cash along with her phone.

Both women reported minor injuries.
