A man driving a motorized scooter or motorcycle was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition Friday afternoon after his vehicle collided with a car west of downtown Wichita, according to Sedgwick County dispatch.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m. at Maple and Osage. That’s between Seneca and Sycamore.

The man was transported to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis for treatment, a dispatch supervisor said. He is reportedly in his 40s, she said.

No one else was hurt, the dispatch supervisor said.
