A Halstead man who turned himself in to police pleaded guilty Monday to robbing an Intrust Bank branch in January.

John Lee Cline, 49, pleaded guilty to robbing the branch bank located inside the Dillons at 3932 W. 13th St., according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Barry Grisson.

A day after he robbed the bank on Jan. 21, Cline called Wichita detectives and told them he wanted to surrender, police said. Cline had been identified from a photo captured from surveillance camera footage.

Sentencing is set for July 14.
