A 60-year-old Kansas City man is dead after a rollover crash early Tuesday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said Kevin M. Fisk was southbound on I-635 just south of K-5 “at (a) high rate of speed” when he negotiated a curve and overcorrected. The vehicle he was driving, a 2000 Mitsubishi Diamante, veered off the road and “overturned numerous times,” according to a KHP crash report.

Fisk was killed, KHP said. His passenger, 35-year-old Robert Marquez of Olathe, was hurt and was transported to the University of Kansas Medical Center for treatment.

The wreck happened at 2:25 a.m.

I-635 connects I-35 in Overland Park to I-29 in Kansas City, Mo.
