After a man opened the door Friday morning to a woman he knew, he got more than he expected, according to a police report.

The 42-year-old man heard a knock at his door about 5 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Broadway, Wichita Police Lt. Dan East said.

He opened the door to let the 33-year-old woman in, but three men he didn’t know forced their way inside. The men hit and kicked the 42-year-old, took some cash and a cellphone and then left with the woman, East said.

The man sustained minor injuries, East added. Police are looking for the three men and the woman.
