Gov. Sam Brownback ordered flags to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Thursday and Friday in Kansas to honor the victims of Sunday’s shootings in Overland Park.

William Corporon, Reat Griffin Underwood were shot and killed outside the Jewish Community Center, while Terri LaManno was killed outside Village Shalom senior living facility, where she had gone to visit her mother. Memorial services for the victims are scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

“On behalf of the citizens of Kansas, Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer and I offer our condolences to the families and friends of those whose lives were lost in this senseless act of violence,” Brownback said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
