A series of accidents on Kellogg near downtown snarled the morning commute Wednesday in Wichita.

All three accidents occurred at about 7:42 a.m. in eastbound lanes between downtown and the Meridian exit, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis for treatment.

Traffic was backed up for several miles as a result of the accidents, which reduced Kellogg to one open lane.
