A Cherryvale man is facing federal charges of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Daniel Hosier, 34, appeared in federal court Friday on the two felony counts, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said in a news release. The alleged crimes are said to have occurred in March and July 2013 in Montgomery County, where Cherryvale is located.

If convicted, Hosier could be sentenced to five to 20 years in federal prison on the distribution count and up to 10 years in federal prison on the possession count. A maximum fine of $250,000 could also be imposed on each charge, Grissom said.
