Crews respond to Mid-Continent Airport on report of plane leaking fuel

A plane bound for Wichita that reportedly was leaking fuel prompted an “airport emergency” call at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport on Friday evening.

A Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said the report was made to the dispatch center about 5:55 p.m. Law enforcement and fire crews from both the city and the county, as well as emergency medical services personnel, responded to the scene.
