Wienermobile to make stops at area grocery stores

Grocery stores in the area will be getting a visit from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile later this week, according to a news release from Kraft, the parent company of the famed hotdog enterprise.

Alex Connett and Steve Johnson will be driving the Wienermobile and making stops in Valley Center, Derby, Andover and Wichita.

Here’s the schedule provided by the company:

• Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dillons store, 1624 N. Rock Road, Derby;

• Thursday, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Dillons store, 225 East Cloud, Andover;

• Friday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Leeker’s Family Foods, 801 S. Meridian Ave., Valley Center

• Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Leeker’s Family Foods, 6223 N. Broadway, Park City.

According to the news release, the company maintains a fleet of six Wienermobiles to use in marketing.
