A 10-week course for prospective foster parents will be held starting April 15 in Wichita.

Saint Francis Community Services will conduct the classes, which will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday at 4155 E. Harry. There is no charge.

The course is designed to help people decide if they want to become a foster home for children in foster care or adoption programs. Foster parents are required to complete the course to be licensed by the state.

Another 10-week section of the course will be held on Tuesdays next month, starting May 27. They will also be from 6 to 9 p.m. at the same East Harry site.

To register for the class or get more information, call 316-831-0330, ext. 231, or go to www.st-francis.org.
