Singer Jackson Browne will perform 7:30 p.m. July 21 at the Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway, the venue announced Tuesday.

Browne is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has written several notable songs including “Running on Empty” and “Take it Easy.” On Tuesday he announced a solo acoustic tour, during which he will play guitar and piano and perform songs from his entire body of work.

He last performed in Wichita in November 2012.

This fall Browne is expected to release a new studio album, the 13th of his career. Also this year, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of “Late For The Sky,” the album has been remastered and will be released on 180-gram vinyl and digital platforms.

Ticket prices and an on-sale date for the Orpheum show have not yet been announced. Advance ticket details are available at www.jacksonbrowne.com.
