— Rain and cold postponed the opener of Wichita State’s baseball series at Indiana State on Friday.

The series will resume with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday. The series concludes with a noon game on Sunday.

WSU (16-11, 2-1 MVC) will has been off since Tuesday’s 4-2 loss to Kansas. Indiana State (18-7, 2-4) defeated Austin Peay 3-0 on Wednesday in a game called in the seventh inning due to lightning.

Bad weather throughout the Midwest changed many schedules. Dallas Baptist and Illinois State also moved the start of their series at Normal, Ill., to Saturday.
