An 87-year-old Derby man who was the subject of a Silver Alert on Thursday has been found.

Derby police Chief Robert Lee said law enforcement located Charles R. Dillner at around 10 p. m. Thursday in Missouri.

“His condition is good,” Lee said by e-mail, “and his family is on the way to Missouri to bring him home.”

Dillner went missing sometime after 8:30 a.m. Thursday when left his home to pick up his wife at 29th and Webb in Wichita but never arrived. Authorities were concerned for his safety because he suffers from dementia and short-term memory loss, and they asked the public to aid in the search for Dillner and his car.
