Wichita police issue 42 speeding tickets on East Kellogg

Wichita police issued 42 speeding citations Wednesday afternoon on East Kellogg.

Traffic officers from Patrols East, North and West bureaus along with Patrol East community police officers conducted the speed checks between 1:30 and 3 p.m. along the 4800 block of East Kellogg, according to Lt. Dan East, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The highest speed detected was 79 miles per hour in the 60 mph zone, East said. The average speed was 72 mph.

“We encourage motorists to be aware of that the speed on Kellogg is 60 miles per hour and to make sure they are buckled up, driving safely and responsibly,” East said.
