Occidental Management announced Tuesday afternoon its first tenant for its third building at the Offices at Cranbrook office park in northeast Wichita.

At a groundbreaking ceremony for the third building, Occidental president Chad Stafford said Performance Health will take 3,500 square feet in the 46,000-square-foot, two story building.

“They will probably be the smallest tenant,” Stafford said.

But he added that the firm, which is a tenant in Cranbrook’s first building, is growing and needed to double its existing space. “We wanted to accommodate them,” Stafford said.

More than 50 people attended the groundbreaking at the park at 10111 E. 21st.

Stafford said he hopes construction on the building will be completed by this fall.

The new building will be the development’s largest. Occidental also plans to eventually build a fourth building, but at 10,000 square feet it will be Cranbrook’s smallest.

The third building will feature covered balconies on the second floor and covered patios for ground-level offices, both of which will look out on the development’s nearly 2-acre lake.

Spangenberg Phillips Tice is the architect, and Sauerwein Construction is the general contractor.

The Class A office park’s other buildings are single-story and 23,000 square feet.

The development got its start with a groundbreaking event in August 2012
