It’s called the Focus on the Byway photo contest and it encourages Kansans to shoot photos along the Kansas Wetlands & Wildlife National Scenic Byway.

Photographers, both professional and amateur, are encouraged to enter the contest. The contest began Tuesday and runs through March 31, 2015. Winners will be announced every three months.

The Kansas Wetlands & Wildlife National Scenic Byway is a 77-mile route through Stafford, Barton and Reno counties connecting two internationally important wetlands — Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. Along its path are several stone bridges, underground tunnels, museums, artwork, prairie, farm fields, and distinct flora and fauna.

Contest rules and more information can be found at www.KsBywayPhotoContest.com.
