The Obamacare scheme was to knock millions out of their existing health care plans. Then, when they have to sign up for Obamacare, the Democrats can claim they saved these people by offering them Obamacare. Few of those signed up had no health care before Obamacare made them lose it.

I figured out how to save the postal system. Anybody who had a problem with Obamacare: Send him a letter.

Must the Kansas Legislature also mismanage endangered species? Some things should not be political, and endangered species is one of them. Politicians are usually not well-enough informed to be making decisions about the environment, ecology or the needs of endangered species.

Sen. Greg Smith believes the Legislature should decide on science functions (March 31 Eagle). Welcome back to the Flat Earth Society.

I like the idea of keeping slot-machine votes from happening every year. I get tired of idiots voting over and over until they get their way. Then the voting stops, with no voting to overturn it. We have an unneeded arena because of that nonsense.

Someone said the turnpike should be free. No, it shouldn’t. Yes, our taxes paid to build it, but it needs continued maintenance and should be paid for by the people like me who use it, not by the folks who don’t.

People: If you can’t afford to feed and clothe children, then don’t have them. I am tired of supporting others with my tax money.

Greed and waste are why people are starving in the world.

My elderly friends and I like to sit in the mall and read the tattoos passing by.

Haysville is complaining about being made fun of (March 28 Business Today). I remember columnist Bob Getz making fun of Derby. It is all just in fun. I miss Bob Getz.

I forgive Denise Neil and the other folks of the “Gridiron” show for their insensitivity toward the good people of Haysville. As someone great once said, “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.”

The leaders of Haysville are tired of the jokes? I think the people of Haysville don’t understand the jokes.

There’s been much praise for the way Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their divorce or “uncoupling.” I prefer praise for a woman who, asked why her marriage endured 60 years, explained, “We did not live in the throwaway era. When things were broken, we fixed them.”
