Nightlife list this weekend: Southern-style rock, emerging artists at Orpheum, Finer at Rock Island Live

Southern-style rock

Louisiana-based blues rock band Royal Southern Brotherhood will play at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg. The show will also feature Rachelle Coba Band. Emerging artists at Orpheum

The Orpheum kicks off its Emerging Artists Series with the Tontons, an alternative rock group from Houston, Texas, at 8 p.m. Thursday. The series will feature eclectic and relatively unknown bands from around the country. Upcoming acts include Jared & the Mill (May 27) and Graham Colton (June 26). Finer at Rock Island Live

Husband and wife Stacy and Ethan make up electronic pop-rock duo, Finer, who will play Rock Island Live, 101 N. Rock Island, at 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 at the door.
