Man’s death in McPherson called ‘suspicious’

McPherson police are investigating a death classified as “suspicious” after the body of a man in his 20s was found early Thursday morning.

A resident reported “a suspicious item” in the 400 block of West Woodside at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, McPherson Police Chief Robert McClarty said in a prepared statement. The body is an unidentified white male.

The man’s identity and his cause of death are unknown, McClarty said.

“The unattended death is being treated as suspicious and the investigation is on-going,” he said.
