President Obama’s performance at the meeting in the Hague was not so pretty. Disheveled and uneven, in both countenance and speech, he showed the whole world how weak we are. Even his strongest supporters see it. The amateur has tapped out.

Turns out Michelle Obama has been the “do-nothing” first lady, almost equaling the poorest of the past.

It’s easy to understand why today’s youths have the moral compass of a raw potato: They are products of government education. Public schools are the government’s propaganda wing, which is completely controlled by Democrats, and the Democrats are completely controlled by communists.

American revolutionary soldiers lived through the freezing temperatures with no shoes at Valley Forge in the cause of freedom and the republic. Citizens today drive their luxury cars right past the polling places on election days on the way to enjoy their easy lives.

Voters repeatedly fall for hollow Republican promises of lower taxes, sound fiscal policies and prosperity for all, only to later call upon Democrats to do the heavy lifting of cleaning up the Republican fiscal boondoggle. Gov. Sam Brownback might finally be the Republican boondoggle Democrats can’t fix.

Isn’t it time we find and elect legislators who can think for themselves and do what is best for Kansas? Currently many of them seem to be bought and paid for, and much of the legislation passed is fed to them by ALEC. We cannot let money buy our government.

Apparently the goal of this session of the Legislature is to rescind, repeal or overrule every progressive and enlightened law or regulation Kansas has in place. People need to pay attention. Unfortunately, in November voters will push the button labeled “R” without regard to what has just occurred in Topeka.

I’m a firm believer that sometimes the enemies of a cause can be every bit as important to its success as its champions. And that’s a statement that people need to chew on when considering the “anti-gay” gyrations of Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church.

Phelps had firm religious beliefs based on his interpretation of the Bible. Just like the Hobby Lobby people. Just like the Little Sisters of the Poor. Just like the pope. The self-righteous “Christians” don’t agree with his interpretation, so they condemn him.

I don’t think the lack of respect for WSU basketball has to do with strength of schedule. I think it’s due to WuShock.
