Cessna Aircraft Co. has a new upgrade program for its Citation CJ2-Plus business jet, the company said Monday.

The Alpine Edition CJ2-Plus modification package includes installation of a Garmin G3000 avionics suite, new pressurization and environmental systems, the latest in diagnostics systems and a redesigned cockpit, Cessna said. It will also offer an exclusive paint scheme and interior packages as optional upgrades.

“The Alpine Edition CJ2-Plus is just one more example of Cessna’s continued investment in its products and services,” Matt Wild, its program manager, said in a statement.

The engineering flight test program is underway. Certification is expected this summer and deliveries to start soon after.

The modification package increases access to the cockpit, improved turbulence detecting weather radar, advanced Terrain Awareness Warning Systems, a wireless media server, Garmin integrated cockpit and cabin Iridium phone and high speed Internet capabilities.
