The Douglas Avenue Chop Shop, 1113 E. Douglas, will hold its grand opening celebration from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Chop Shop sells a selection of raw meats and cheeses, sausage and bacon made in-house, as well as eggs, sauces and stocks, said Josh Rathbun, chef and butcher.

The grand opening will include a sausage making demonstration and presentations from the shop’s farm suppliers.

There will also be food samples and a cooking trailer from Creekstone Farms, one of the shop’s beef suppliers out of Ark City, Rathbun said.

The Chop Shop had a soft opening with limited hours starting a couple of weeks ago.

Starting April 1, hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Store owner is Schane Gross, who also owns The Anchor restaurant next door.
