Wichita police said Saturday four people were arrested Friday night after a report of a shooting led to a brief car and foot chase.

Sgt. Ron Hunt said that officers were called at 6 p.m. Friday to 7700 E. Kellogg – the address of Towne East Square – to investigate a report of shots fired.

A witness reported hearing several gunshots and watching four men run to a car and leave the area. Hunt said based on the witness’ description of the vehicle, officers were able to locate the vehicle. He said in the process of stopping the vehicle a short, car pursuit ensued, followed by a foot pursuit.

Officers were able to apprehend four men and later arrested them. Three of the suspects were 17 years old while the fourth was 18, Hunt said.

He said it did not appear anyone was injured. Hunt was uncertain if there was any property damage.
