Not to take anything away from the Shockers’ stellar season, but things seem off-kilter when Wichita State gets $555 million in visibility, the coach is a millionaire and the players who made it all happen get beat-up bodies and a degree that may or may not provide them a job.

I don’t care what anyone says, KU is better in football than WSU.

Folks, if you are betting on a team to win the national tournament, just bet the opposite of President Obama’s bets. He’s not known to pick winners.

Conservatives rant that Crimea’s vote to secede from Ukraine was illegal, but just four years ago these same people were threatening to secede from the United States.

Obama fiddles with an NCAA bracket while Vladimir Putin burns through Eastern Europe.

Obama’s rallying cry to the Ukrainian people: If you like your insurance and doctor, you can keep them.

Anyone with half a brain knew it was dangerous for Europe to become dependent upon Russian natural gas. Now Europeans are trapped into opposing real sanctions against Russian aggression.

Ironically, Obama agrees to spend millions to help find a lost Boeing 777 on the other end of the Earth, but won’t spend 10 minutes talking about Benghazi.

To those who don’t doubt climate change: Are you just that gullible? Or do you feel animosity toward America and want to see your countrymen punished with inadequate power supplies and prohibitively high energy prices? There is no “consensus,” and “scientists” have repeatedly falsified data.

I find it humorous, but not surprising, that Rep. Tim Huelskamp, who was elected to help organize our federal government, has trouble organizing a basketball ticket raffle.

It’s about time to start building the gallows for all those on death row who have had all their appeals used up. Can I get an “Amen”?

So the Kansas Supreme Court found that Gov. Sam Brownback’s handpicked Legislature favors wealthy school districts. Gee, do you think? Can you name a Republican policy that doesn’t favor the wealthy? I sure can’t.

Are the individuals hired to protest outside Wichita Subaru union members, or are they being paid union wages?

I am glad that the FBI has come to teach our police force how to fight crime and battle gangs. It’s about time they concentrate on serious problems instead of saturation patrols, etc.

The condition of the driving lanes’ striping is the worst I have ever seen it. In some intersections, it’s dangerously absent. It was bad before the storms and is even worse now.

Why is The Eagle still printing “WuMo”? It is not funny and looks like it is drawn by a sixth-grader.

Where was the “garden” at the garden show? The $9 admission was too much for such a small venue. The $3 Cokes were ridiculous. I will rethink returning next year.
