  • Published Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 11:39 a.m.

A man told police he was attacked by a group of strangers after he went into an unknown bar in southeast Wichita to use the bathroom Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at about 11 p.m. Wednesday outside a bar near Harry and George Washington Boulevard, Lt. Dan East said. The 44-year-old man said he was hit with a beer bottle in the parking lot of the bar. He was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Joseph for treatment of cuts to his head, right ear and right shoulder.

Officers were called to the hospital to investigate the case, East said, but the victim said he did not know the name of the bar nor could he offer a description of the suspects.
