With spring and warmer weather arriving, do you expect consumers to pick up their pace of spending?

It’ll be a warm day in Wichita Thursday, but it’ll be windy, too.

Highs should top 70 today, forecasters say, with sunny skies and south-southwesterly winds gaining strength as the day stretches out. Winds will be in the teens in the morning and intensify into the 20s by afternoon. Gusts could top 30 miles an hour.

Lows early Friday morning will bottom out in the lower 40s, forecasters say, with winds easing to the low teens. Friday will be a bit cooler, with sunshine and highs in the low 60s. Winds will switch to the north and become blustery again, with gusts nearing 30 miles an hour.

The weekend will be cooler, forecasters say, with partly to mostly cloudy skies and highs around 50.
