Fraud expert to speak at Wichita Independent Neighborhood meeting on Monday

A bank vice president and security officer will speak about financial crimes and confidence scams at the Wichita Independent Neighborhood’s general meeting on Monday.

Jeremy Couch, of Emprise Bank, will present his speech at 5:30 p.m. at the United Way Building, 245 N. Market. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Couch joined Emprise Bank in 2007 as the company’s corporate security officer, WIN said in a news release. He oversees fraud investigations, fraud training and other security issues for the bank, as well as educates businesses and the public about scams and other crime trends. He also has12 years of law enforcement experience with the Reno County Sheriff’s Office and is a member of several Kansas networking groups that deal with financial crimes, according to the news release.
