O.J. Watson Park opens Saturday with spring hours

Wichita’s O.J. Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Blvd., will open for spring hours on Saturday.

The park will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Park rides will be available from noon to nightfall on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 5 p.m. to nightfall Monday through Friday.

The park is a 119-acre site along the Arkansas River in south Wichita. It includes a 40-acre lake, miniature golf, train rides, pony rides, volleyball and picnicking. Shelters can be rented by calling park official Brian Hill at 316-529-9940.
