Police still investigating robbery of downtown Wichita bank

Downtown Fidelity Bank robbed

Wichita police are continuing to investigate the robbery of a downtown bank Wednesday.

Fidelity Bank, 100 E. English, was held up at 9:26 a.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported.

Police Lt. E.J. Bastian said at the scene that the robber gave a note to one of the bank tellers, and left with an unknown amount of money. He ran toward Broadway, Bastian said.

Bastian gave this description of the suspect: black male, in his 20s, about 5 foot 8, slender build, wearing a gray hoodie and dark stocking cap.
