Stabbing reported near Broadway, Lincoln

Wichita police are investigating a stabbing that happened in the 1030 block of South Broadway, near Lincoln.

The incident occurred at about 1:55 a.m. Sunday, according to Sgt. John Hoofer, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

Wichita police were notified after a 33-year-old female and a 30-year-old male walked into Via Christi St. Francis Hospital with stab wounds. The man told police he was there because there had been an altercation and he’d received minor cuts, Hoofer said.

The man was treated for the stab wounds and released.
