The Park City Chill once again lived up to its name, as the three-day event began with temperatures in the tolerable zone, but ended up in the downright uncomfortable range, with fresh snow covering the ground by Sunday.

Fortunately, the temperatures inside the Kansas Pavilions were just fine, as motorcycles, hot rods, race cars and customs and, for the first time, big rig semi tractors, were put on display.

Show-goers were impressed not only with the quality of workmanship exhibited, but in the case of the over-the-road haulers, the simple expanse of modified, custom-painted sheet metal on display.

We caught the first day of the show and, as usual, divided our time between visiting with old friends and shooting pictures of all the vehicles. If you were one of those who talked yourself out of getting out in the cold to take in The Chill first hand, here’s a sampling of what we saw through our camera lens.
