American Petro-Hunter changes investment direction

American Petro-Hunter, which in December announced that it would drill a horizontal well in Rice County in the first quarter, is now saying in a news release that it will not pursue its Kansas oil and gas projects.

The publicly listed company, headquartered at 250 N. Rock Road, Suite 365, said it has switched strategy from oil exploration to investing in real estate and energy projects to gain more consistent cash flow. It plans to bring in a new management team and buy a work-force accommodation facility in Texas’ Eagleford region. It expects to expand that facility and acquire more in other oil-producing regions.
