A 46-year-old Hutchinson man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Hutchinson on Tuesday night, authorities said.

Hutchinson police officers were sent to a house in the 300 block of Grandview shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday to check on the report of a disturbance, according to a statement released by the department.

There, they found a 37-year-old man who had been stabbed once by an acquaintance. He also had several cuts on his hands. The victim’s 49-year-old girlfriend had also been threatened with a knife.

The stabbing victim was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said. The suspect, an acquaintance of the victims, was booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated battery and aggravated assault.
