A Kansas Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old girl who went missing Monday.

Authorities say Nomei Velazquez’s cellphone was last pinged on I-35 northbound near Lenexa. She may be traveling north on I-35 in the Kansas City area with Juan Fabian Arenas Delacruz, a possible suspect in her disappearance. The pair may be in a silver Volkswagen Passat with Texas plate DF7T507, according to the Amber Alert.

Nomei is 4 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds and was last seen wearing glasses, a white shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes and was carrying a brown purse. Her nickname is Mimi.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 800-KS-CRIME.
