Wichita weather: 40s and sunshine

It’ll be sunny in the Wichita area today, forecasters say, with highs in the upper 40s.

Winds will be in the teens out of the east, then shift to the south and southeast. Overnight lows will slip into the mid-20s under partly cloudy skies, with winds light and variable.

Tuesday will be colder, forecasters say, with highs only reaching the mid-30s under mostly sunny skies. North winds will be in the teens, gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour at times.

It’ll be a cold night, too, with lows in the teens and a few clouds in the sky. North winds will remain gusty, topping out near 30 miles an hour again.

Wednesday won’t be much warmer, forecasters say, with highs only in the mid-30s.
