NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Martin Truex has signed an order for an upgrade package for his Hawker 400XPR business jet.

Delivery is expected to take place in the first half of this year, Beechcraft said.

The upgrade package includes winglets, new Williams International engines, a refurbished interior and new exterior paint, aimed to improve performance, operating costs and resale value, Beechcraft said.

“I have evaluated many aircraft that have the speed and efficiency to get me to 36 NASCAR events annually,” Truex said in a statement. The range, cabin volume, operating costs and support expected from an aircraft partner led him to choose the jet, he said.

“The overall value proposition of this aircraft made this a very simple decision for our team,” Truex said.
