Kansas Amber alert issued for 10-year-old Missouri girl

Authorities have issued a Kansas Amber alert for a 10-year-old Missouri girl who went missing Tuesday.

Hailey M. Owens was last seen being pulled into a truck by an unknown man in the 3200 block of W. Lombard St. in Springfield, according to the alert. The case was reported as a child abduction to Springfield police at 4:48 p.m.

Authorities are looking for a white man driving a 2008 gold Ford Ranger with a Missouri license plate of 1YF454 or 1YS454 in connection with the girl’s disappearance.

Hailey is white, about 5-feet-2, weighs 90 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes and pierced ears. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and purple sandals.

Anyone with information concerning Hailey’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-KS-CRIME. Her Amber Alert is also active in Missouri and Oklahoma.
