Man arrested after pushing Wichita police officer

A 19-year-old man was taken to jail after pushing a Wichita police officer in the chest.

The incident happened at 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of North Green, near Ninth and Grove, according to Sgt. John Hoofer, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The police officer was on the scene of a disturbance when one of the men began pushing her in the chest.

The officer was not injured but the man was quickly taken into custody.
