Police: Man says three men took his gray leather coat, cellphone

A 28-year-old man said three men assaulted him early Sunday near Douglas and I-135, according to Wichita police.

The victim went to a nearby house for help after the incident, according to Sgt. John Hoofer, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department. The 22-year-old resident of the house called 911 at 3 a.m.

The man told police he was injured when he was robbed by three men in the area who took his gray leather coat and a cellphone. Wichita police are searching for the three men.
