A 32-year-old man was charged Friday in Sedgwick County District Court with three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child younger than 14 and two counts of possessing sexually explicit depictions of minors.

Michael J. Figueroa was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of the crimes at an address in the 5100 block of Hydraulic, according to a Sedgwick County Jail booking report. He remained in custody Saturday on $100,000 bond.

Figueroa is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 27.

Aggravated indecent liberties with a child younger than 14 is among sex crimes that carry a mandatory minimum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for 25 years under Jessica’s Law, which came from a 2005 case in Florida.
