A 26-year-old Wichita woman was hospitalized Saturday after she ran a stop sign and struck a semi-trailer truck two miles west of Belle Plaine, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash report.

Inequa Deshay Bryant had been treated and released from Wesley Medical Center by afternoon, a hospital operator said, following the 11 a.m. crash.

Bryant, the patrol said, was driving a 2005 Pontiac passenger car west on K-55 and the semi was northbound on U.S. 81 when the collision occurred. The driver of the semi, a 56-year-old Nebraska man, was not hurt.
