Cargill is buying Pet Carousel, based in Sanger, Calif. which makes branded and private label pet treats and chews.

Cargill did not disclose the terms of the deal, which is expected to close by the end of the month.

Pet Carousel has a national reach, and will benefit from the supply from Cargill’s U.S. beef, pork and turkey plants, as well as its distribution network, the company said.

Pet Carousel makes Roper brand cotton blend chew ropes, Choo Hooves natural bones and chews, as well as natural white meat chicken and turkey jerky, and sweet potato and vegetable chews.
