As if walking to the bus stop in several inches of freshly fallen snow wasn’t bad enough, a 61-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Monday morning, police said.

The robbery occurred shortly after 7 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of West 27th Street South, Lt. Doug Nolte said. That’s south of Pawnee and just west of McLean Boulevard in south Wichita.

The victim told police that two men pulled up in a car and one got out and pointed a black revolver at him, demanding he surrender his backpack. He complied. The two men then drove north on Magnolia as they left the scene.

They were in a newer black car with snow still all over it, the victim told police. He was unable to get a tag number.
