Snoop Dogg is coming to Wichita.

The Dr. Dre protege and sometime actor will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Cotillion, the venue’s website announced. Tickets are $35-40 and can be purchased at ticketfly.com.

Snoop burst onto the scene in the 1990s as a part of the so-called West Coast gangsta-rap phenomenon. His songs include “Gin & Juice,” “What’s My Name,” “Beautiful,” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” He also rapped on Katy Perry’s massive hit “California Gurls.”

After returning from Jamaica in 2012, Snoop Dogg became Snoop Lion. He released a reggae album and documentary, “Reincarnated,” under the name in 2013.

The Cotillion is at 11120 W. Kellogg, Wichita.
