Kwik Shop has purchased land and plans to build a new convenience store at the southeast corner of Kellogg and Oliver, in east Wichita.

A Kwik Shop official said in a news release Thursday that plans are to have a store open at the site this year.

The parcel of land it acquired is 88,000 square feet.

The Kwik Shop official said the company has received a lot of customer feedback about it having more locations along Wichita’s major east-west thoroughfare.

Jeff Walenta of NAI Martens represented the seller, and Grant Tidemann of J.P. Weigand & Sons represented Kwik Shop.
