Sheriff’s deputies have caught two suspects in recent robberies of Subway restaurants, an official said Wednesday.

Deputies nabbed two Wichita men, ages 26 and 34, about 2 p.m. Tuesday during a traffic stop of a white Chrysler van in the 5800 block of West Kellogg, sheriff’s Lt. David Mattingly said.

The suspects, released to Wichita police, were booked into jail on suspicion of robbery, Mattingly said. One of the suspects was booked on three counts of robbery, the other on one count of robbery.

The Subway robberies occurred at stores at 615 E. 47th St. South, 10646 W. Central and 2533 S.Seneca.
