Wichita State’s basketball team will fly to Terre Haute, Ind., at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday after its flight was postponed Tuesday afternoon.

Larry Rankin, WSU assistant athletic director for media relations, said in a text message that the team bus was on the tarmac at Mid-Continent Airport, and the team was preparing to board the plane. He later texted that the flight had been postponed and the team had just found out.

Rankin said weather in Terre Haute and Indianapolis was given as the reason for the cancellation.

No. 4 WSU (23-0) practiced at Koch Arena on Tuesday afternoon before busing to the airport for its normal day-before departure for a road game. The Shockers take on Indiana State, the Missouri Valley Conference's second-place team, at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Fox Sports Kansas City.
