Republicans will celebrate the start of Black History Month Tuesday by giving its Black Republican Trailblazing Awards to a businessman to three prominent individuals.

The awards will go to Judge Sara J. Harper of Ohio, Dr. Louis Sullivan of Georgia, former Health and Human Services Secretary, and Michigan businessman William “Bill” Brooks for what the Republican National Committee called "significant contributions to the Party, their communities, and the country."

The awards will be presented at the Howard Theater in Washington. Texas Education Commissioner Michael Williams will give the keynote address. Actor Joseph Phillips, best known for his role on The Cosby Show, will co-host the ceremony.
