The morning commute may not be routine in the Wichita area today, thanks to a light glaze of ice delivered by some freezing drizzle.

The precipitation will be light, forecasters say, but untreated roads could become slick quickly. It’ll be cloudy, with highs in the upper 20s. Winds will in the teens out of the north, with gusts climbing to nearly 30 miles an hour.

Freezing drizzle is expected to move back into the area tonight, changing to snow early Saturday morning. Lows will dip into the low 20s, with the north winds touching double digits. Snow and ice accumulation will be less than a half-inch for Wichita, forecasters say.

The weekend will be cold, with decreasing clouds and highs in the 30s.
